Judy Avey-Arroyo was the founder of this sloth sanctuary. It was built in 1992. Arroyo was known for rescue and nourishment of bereaved sloths in wild. The sanctuary affairs are dealt through a mechanized process and bath day is one such service included in the list of services. The baby sloths are solely bathed with the purpose of cleanliness and health promotion. To ease down and greet that sloths; they are offered with sweet hibiscus flower as the session ends.
