Retired Army Blind Dog Avails A Fresh Extension On Life
Today, you will get to know about Asur that was serving as a Military Dog with U.S Marines. It was serving as a bomb sniffing canine and it lost its eyes while performing job duties due to extensive chemicals. Asur was recently performing in Afghanistan but due to medical problem; he could not continue his job more than one year. It was forced to retire due to medical reasons.
After retirement; now Ross Laflin and Bonnie Jill are helping Asur to live a pet life just like other pet dogs in Hounds and Heroes. It is a nonprofit institution working with dedication towards the goal of helping and rescuing wounded or injured dogs. Bonnie Jill Lafin is the founder of this organization and the sole motive of starting this organization was to spread awareness and education about rescue of injured or abandoned dogs.
Asur is being helped by Lafin along with her husband. This Retired Army dog has been experiencing and living a dangerous and threatened life during all his tenure of Military services. But now it save and living in peaceful life.
While explaining the condition of Asur; Lafin commented that if you walk off from martial working atmosphere, in Humvees and kennels, every dog is just like Asur but at the present it has became to some extent a chesterfield potato. Moreover, Purina added that it belongs to a protection breed and these dogs are accustomed to tugging, biting and playing. So, it is bit hard to transform such a dog that is aggressive.
The Laflin family unit has turn out to be Asur’s eyes. Professional trainer is helping their dog and teaching him the ways of interaction with other fellow dogs and people around. Asur is also learning simple tasks such as working on the trail and performing some simple activities. According to Heeter, Asur has scarified his life for the sake of United States and they are trying to give him his precious life back. There are expectations that this professional Retired Army dog will be able to readjust and mold according to the new expectations and requirements of his new life.
